In an attempt to reignite the interest of the buyers in its sedan, Mahindra & Mahindra launched the Mahindra Verito Executive version recently last month which has been carefully chosen to meet the increasing customer aspirations and demand for a stylish sedan.
Mahindra Verito looks very classy and stylish. It has the honeycomb structure which protects from front impact and offers air bags for the driver.
It also provides cross member at the rear which protects from rear impact. Combination of style and comfort can been seen in its twin colored seats with diamond tweed inserts and strongly marked wheel arches and carved hood.
The petrol version has the 4 cylinders, 1.4 liters, 1390cc engine which delivers a peak torque of 110 Nm with help of a 5 speed manual gearbox. It produces top power of 75 hp at 5500 rpm. The engine has 1.4 liter GL, 1.4 liter GLE and 1.4 liter GLX trims. The GLE and GLX are available as BS III compliant variants in a few cities.
The diesel version has 1.5 liter, 1461cc engine which uses 2nd generation common rail system. 4 cylinder engine which produce 65 hp at 4000 rpm and returns maximum torque of 160 Nm at 2000 rpm with an acceleration time of 20 seconds. The engine has 1.5 liter DLE, 1.5 liter DLX and 1.5 liter DLSX trims.Both diesel and petrol versions use SOHC, MPFI engine that is more fuel efficient and have ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 21.03kmpl.
It also has re-profiled and angular eyebrow shaped radiant and luminous high intensity clear lens halogen light headlamps with a strip of LEDs and a headlamp leveling device for a better vision in any kind of weather. . Mahindra Verito has a laminated windshield and the front wiper is a two speed plus intermittent for clear vision.
The chrome plated radiator grille on the front facade has slanting vertical slats and a large Mahindra crest. Stylish ten spoke alloy wheels have tubeless tires of 185/70 R14 size. The rear end has neatly done LED tail lamps, clustered reversing lights, side turn indicators and a high mounted stop lamp as well.
Mahindra India has given many remarkable changes to this Mahindra Verito. New buttons for internal re-circulation, new rotary knobs for the climate control and new switches for the power window have been placed on the door pads.
Many other utility features such as a parcel shelf, mobile holder, bottle holder, ash tray sun visors and a carpeted luggage compartment has also been provided. With a total length of 4277mm, width of 1740mm and total height is 1540mm Mahindra Verito is very spacious and roomy. . Spacious boot space of 510 liters is present and the fuel tank with capacity of up to 50 liters of fuel. It also has an impressive turning radius of 5.25 meters.
